When the sun goes down in Punta Cana, most people head back to the resort bar. Then there are the people who go to PANACA — and those are the ones with the stories that last the rest of the trip.

PANACA World Show Journey is the most ambitious entertainment experience in the Caribbean. A Broadway-style theatrical production featuring more than 60 horses and 40 professional artists. An open-air cultural village where you’ll milk a cow, trace the origins of merengue, and learn how sugar cane becomes rum. And then, when the show ends, a live Dominican party with the 16-piece Rumbeando Orchestra that doesn’t stop until the lights go out. This is not a dinner show. This is an entire world, built in Punta Cana, open from afternoon to midnight.

How the Evening Unfolds

3:00 PM – 6:30 PM: Plaza Herencia Dominicana

The experience begins long before the main arena lights up. Plaza Herencia Dominicana is an open-air cultural village designed to immerse you in the real Dominican Republic — not a postcard version of it, but the living, breathing country behind the resorts. Interact with farm animals, feed horses, and watch the Animal World live shows. Then step into the live classrooms: try your hand at milking a cow, learn how fresh cheese is made, discover the true origin of merengue music, and visit San Lorenzo — the only working sugar mill in the country — where the entire journey from sugar cane to finished product unfolds in front of you. Come hungry. The gastronomy at this stage is traditional, local, and genuinely excellent.

6:30 PM – 7:45 PM: The International Show ‘Journey’

At 6:30 PM, the PANACA Arena opens and the main event begins. ‘Journey’ is a world-class theatrical and musical production that tells the story of the horse throughout human civilization — a narrative that spans cultures, continents, and centuries, brought to life by more than 60 horses and 40 professional artists including dancers, acrobats, riders, and actors. The production values are genuinely Broadway-level: lighting, sound design, choreography, and costume design that would be at home on any major international stage. Reserved seating is assigned by ticket category.

8:00 PM – 11:00 PM: The Dominican Party

Then, just when you think the evening has peaked, the stages transform for the Dominican Party. The Rumbeando Orchestra — one of the country’s most celebrated live music acts, with 16 professional musicians — takes over with merengue, bachata, mariachi, and more. This is not background music. It’s a full-force Dominican celebration with a dance floor, live performances, and the kind of collective joy that you can only find in this country.
