The Punta Cana Sky & Sea Adventure packs parasailing, hookah diving, and snorkeling into a single afternoon that covers more ground — and more altitude — than any other excursion in Punta Cana. You’ll start 100 meters above the sea and end up 5 meters beneath it. Everything in between involves an open bar.
What Happens on the Tour
The tour departs at 3:00 PM. After hotel pickup, you board the boat and the adventure begins immediately. The first activity is parasailing — harnessed up and lifted high above the Bávaro coastline, you’ll experience one of the most breathtaking views in the Dominican Republic. The flight lasts approximately 8 minutes, during which the entire coast unfolds beneath you in brilliant turquoise and gold.
Once you’re back on deck, the boat repositions for the hookah dive. Your instructor gives you a brief tutorial on the surface-supplied breathing system, and then you descend into the reef. No certification needed, no tank on your back — just you, the air hose, and a coral garden full of colorful marine life. It’s an accessible, deeply immersive experience that surprises everyone who tries it.
The final activity is snorkeling — a relaxed, open-water session above the reef where you can explore at your own pace and take in the underwater world from the surface. Q: What is hookah diving and is it safe?
A: Hookah diving (also called surface-supplied diving) uses a long air hose connected to a compressor on the boat, allowing you to breathe underwater without a scuba tank. It is completely safe and requires no certification. Your instructor provides a full briefing before the dive and stays with you throughout. It’s one of the easiest ways to experience an authentic reef dive.
Q: In what order do the activities happen?
A: The typical order is: parasailing first (while energy is highest), then hookah diving, then snorkeling. The crew may adjust the order based on sea conditions and group composition, but all three activities are completed within the 3-hour tour window.
Q: Can all three activities be done by the same person?
A: Yes — the tour is designed for full participation in all three activities. The only restriction is the parasailing weight limit of 120 kg. For hookah diving, basic water comfort is recommended. Snorkeling is suitable for virtually everyone ages 6 and up.
Q: Is the open bar really available during all activities?
A: Yes. The open bar is available on deck throughout the entire 3-hour tour — before, between, and after each activity. We do recommend keeping alcohol moderate before getting in the water, but the bar is fully open at all times.
